Duncan Klein
I've been in the publishing game for decades. I began making the coffee and reading the slush pile, I ended up close friends with some of the biggest names – and egos.
Now, in retirement, I'm learning a different trade. One where software does most of the work, printer's ink and pallets of best-sellers are never seen from my office, the writer does their promotion work through a mailing list, and publishing is just a matter of uploading a file and waiting for the sales to come in.
In between filling a fancy title – editor-in-chief – for a publishing house that has no physical existence beside a laptop or two, I describe my journey through the changing landscape of the tools that do the job nowadays. I'd love to help people publish their own visions their own way. Share your wins and make a senior citizen happy.
